Dating Safety

Your safety is our priority. Follow these practical tips when meeting someone from Klik for the first time.

Meet in Public Places

For your first few meetings, always choose a public, well-lit location — a café, restaurant, or shopping area. Avoid private or isolated places until you have built a solid level of trust with the person. Your comfort and safety should always come first.

Tell Someone Where You're Going

Before heading out, let a trusted friend or family member know who you're meeting, where you're going, and when you expect to be back. Share the person's profile or contact details with them. Check in during or after the date so someone knows you're safe.

Never Send Money

Never send money, gift cards, or financial information to someone you have not met in person — no matter how convincing their story is. Romance scams are real and can be devastating. If someone you've matched with asks for money or financial help, report them immediately using the in-app report feature.

Trust Your Instincts

If something feels off — whether in a conversation or during a date — trust your gut. You are never obligated to continue a conversation or date if you feel uncomfortable. It's always okay to leave, end a chat, or block someone.

Use the Block & Report Feature

If someone makes you feel unsafe, harasses you, or behaves inappropriately, use Klik's in-app tools to protect yourself:

  • Block: Tap the three-dot menu on their profile or in your chat to block the user. They will no longer be able to contact you or see your profile.
  • Report: Tap the flag icon on their profile or chat to submit a report. Our moderation team reviews every report and takes appropriate action.
